Plugin Architecture question.

i am installing NMID. In the instructions its telling me to just place the nmid folder into the plugins directory like i have been doing for everything else.

Then log in to the web and go to the Plugin Management section.

and it sees it. GREAT. but is there a reason why none of my other plugins show here?

monitor
boost
discover
settings
mactrack
thold....and on and on

thought i would ask.

Well, It depends on the plugin. If it's still using the old way of installation ( via the global.php file) then it won't show up on that page. If it's using the new way, as some of the nmid plugins do. They will show up.

Sometimes it may be the case, that there's an error in the installation routine of the new plugins. In that case, All plugins until the error occurs will show up, but after that error all other won't.

e.g

If all following plugins use the new installation way, and in "boost" there's an error:

monitor
boost <- error occurs
discover
settings
mactrack

than only monitor would actually show up ...

Not sure if it is you're problem, but the log files should report an error if that is the case.
